Offered by Unisong in collaboration with the Living Arts Collective, this gentle gathering we will witness each other in grief and invite healing through shared song. 

Unisong facilitators Deja Belle and Tessie Castillo will guide us through simple songs that touch our grief with compassionate presence and encourage tender movement. 

When we grieve together, we remember that we are not alone. 

No musical experience is needed, only a willingness to come as you are.

open to ages 16+

This event is offered on a sliding scale: $20 / $30 / $40. 

$30 is the suggested amount — $20 is for those with less access to resources, and $40 is for those with more. Please pay the highest amount you can comfortably afford.


More about your facilitators:

Founded in 2025 by song leaders Deja Belle and Tessie Castillo, Unisong offers community-based healing through monthly song circles in Durham, Siler City and Raleigh and music events that foster connection and emotional release.

Deja Belle is a singer, songwriter, vocal coach and co-founder of Unisong who has toured internationally and led singing and songwriting workshops for youth and adults in Washington, DC and North Carolina. 

Tessie Castillo is a ceremonial singer and co-founder of Unisong who leads song circles and workshops in the Piedmont area. She is also a co-founder of Circle of Healing and facilitates monthly grief ceremonies in Durham and Pittsboro to help community members process and move their grief.
