"The idea of a Christmas concert has been lurking in my brain for a long time. I finally went to work on it for the Octet in August of 2024. The music ranges from several hundred years ago to some of the Movie and Broadway Christmas music associated with the Great American Songbook. There is plenty of ensemble playing as well as improvisation from each of the members of the Octet. It is our intention that you will tap your foot, smile and maybe even sing along." Phil Allen
