Everything from the extensive ruins of the medieval priory to wooded landscapes and fauna are available around this historic site. There will be ample opportunities to grow your macro photography skills of nature and textures, as well as long exposures of the flowing waters of the nearby River Wear. Striking black and white images alongside colour and shade will provide your photographs with character and beauty. The usually quiet surrounds will allow us to focus on current photographic skills and develop new techniques without the hustle and bustle of busy roads, streets and pedestrians. Learn about framing to isolate subjects when shooting in macro as well as create bold architectural compositions of the stonework of the priory.
