Managing the Unmanageable

Speaker: Ian Mastaglio - ACAS

Registration & Buffet: 18:00

Presentation: 18:30 – 20:00

This event will host the formalities of the Annual Meeting with opportunities to network during the pre event buffet. Our guest speaker for the evening is Ian Mastaglio from ACAS.

About the Speaker:

CIPD qualified and with over 20 years’ experience with ACAS, Ian Mastaglio is Senior Advisor / Training Manager within the Senior Advisory Team at Newcastle.

Ian has extensive knowledge and experience of dealing with dispute resolution and good practice in the workplace and has delivered multiple training and project events across the full spectrum of the employment relationship within the private, public and charitable sectors across the north east. Ian delivers the accredited ACAS mediation workshop.

About the Event:

In the workplace, wherever there are people, there can be challenging behaviours.

Some are so extreme that hoping they would just change is not an effective strategy. Behaviours that go unchallenged because they are difficult and excessive contribute to poor morale, decreased performance and increased staff turnover, with the risk of ending up at employment tribunal.

This practical and interactive event will help delegates identify challenging behaviour, recognise the impact on individuals and the organisation and practice strategies to manage these effectively.
