While studying at Michigan State University, he received recognition from the International Trombone Association, the American Trombone Workshop, and Jazz Aspen Snowmass. He has performed onstage alongside many amazing musicians including Christian McBride, Wycliffe Gordon, Ulysses Owens Jr., Jazzmeia Horn, The Temptations, Carmen Bradford, and John Clayton. In addition to performing, he has been acknowledged for his inventive compositions and arrangements, some of which have been featured in the official Louis Armstrong House Museum in New York City.
