- **Event Description**: The People's Bookshop is delighted to welcome Gillian Allnutt reading from her new book, Lode.

Gillian Allnutt is one of the most acclaimed poets of her generation. Two of her earlier books --  Nantucket and the Angel and Lintel --  were nominated for the T.S. Eliot Prize, and her retrospective collection, How the Bicycle Shone: New and Selected Poems, was a Poetry Book Society Special Commendation. In 2016 she was awarded The Queen's Award for Poetry for excellence in poetry.

Lode is her tenth volume and we at the People's Bookshop are thrilled to host Gillian reading from it.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start and tickets are just £5. Wine, soft drinks and snacks are included in the ticket price
