Full Herbal Program at Yarrow School 2019


In 2019 we are offering many herbal training workshops that can be attended individually or can all be attended as an herbal training program. 


Here are the dates of the program: All take place in Columbia River Gorge. Most at The Yarrow School of Collective Wellness in Hood River.


February 8th 6-830 Botany for Herbalists with Gradey Proctor (My long term amazing herbal botany teacher from Portland!)


February 23rd 12-5 Herbal First Aid and First Responder Skills with Missy Rohs (Another of my well respected long-time herbal mentors)


The following Celebrating Plants Through The Seasons classes are held by Katie Keath Silva and Heather Kowalewski plus guest teachers. Guest teachers are noted and more are being added. 


March 9th: Celebrating Angelica Day 10-5pm 

Deep immersion into Angelica medicine through ceremony, song, harvest, medicine making and full class on how to engage with Angelica medicine for physical, emotional and spiritual wellness


April 13th: Celebrating Nettle Day 10-5pm

Deep immersion into Nettle medicine through ceremony, song, harvest, medicine making and full class on how to engage with Nettle medicine for physical, emotional and spiritual wellness


May 4th: Celebrating Dandelion Day 10-5pm

Deep immersion into Dandelion medicine through ceremony, song, harvest, deep direct plant relationship, medicine making and a full class on how to ethically engage with Dandelion medicine for physical, emotion and spiritual wellness


June 22nd: Celebrating Lemon Balm Day 10-5pm with Talia Hammond at her Jean Marie Farms in The Gorge  https://www.jeanmariesgarden.com/who-we-are/

Deep immersion into Lemon Balm medicine through ceremony, song, harvest, medicine making, deep direct relationship and a full class on how to ethically engage with Lemon balm medicine for physical. Emotional, spiritual wellness


August 31st Elderberry Day 10-5pm

Deep immersion into Elderberry medicine through ceremony, song, harvest, medicine making, deep direct plant relationship and a full class on how to ethically engage with Elderberry medicine for physical, emotional and spiritual healing


September 28th Celebrating Oak Medicine Day 10-5pm

Deep immersion into Oak medicine through ceremony, song, harvest, medicine making, direct deep plant relationship and a full class on how to engage with oak medicine for physical, emotional and spiritual wellness


October 19th Oregon Grape Day 10-5pm

At Shayne and Kathryn’s land in The Gorge

Deep immersion into Oregon grape medicine through ceremony, song, harvest, medicine making, deep direct plant relationship and full class on how to ethically engage with Oregon grape medicine for physical, emotional and spiritual wellness


To register for the above program is $500 ( it was previously $400 but we added two dynamite classes to the program) 


If taken individually, The botany class is $35, The First Aid class is $65 and each celebrating plants class is $75


More guest teachers are being scheduled and you will be notified of those classes and be offered a 10% discount on the classes if you have already registered for the whole program. 


We will also have an easy to use online herbal study platform that is included free of charge for people who register for the whole program that you can optionally add to your program to enhance and deepen your herbal studies with us.

Yarrow School is a radical herbal education and community outreach program in the Columbia Gorge with a focus on access and liberation for all. We offer free herbal education and 4 private healing sessions per month to BIPoC and Trans people. We donate a percent of everything we do to social justice causes.
