- **Event Description**: The People's Bookshop is delighted to welcome Durham poets Diane Cockburn and John Moran reading from their new volumes of poetry..

Weaving together magic, myth & memory, in Radiant Crow, Diane uses the figure of the crow as a metaphorical gateway to explore the landscape, language, & customs of her two norths -- Northern Ireland and the North/East of England.

John Moran's Vigils is a raw poetic exploration of the emotional life of a hospital. Mirroring the three nocturnal Canonical offices, the sequences of his sharply political poems, explore the need for faith, hope, and charity when the only god left standing is profit.

Our doors open at 6.30pm, the event starts at 7pm, and ends at 9pm. Tickets are £5 that includes drinks and nibbles.
