Business & Schools - Developing community links through School G

Business & Schools - Developing community links through School G

Do you want to improve outcomes for children in the North East?
Join Governors for Schools for a morning information session where you'll hear from:
The North East Chamber of Commerce
The North East Local Enterprise Partnership
and Current School Governors highlighting the benefits volunteering as a school governor can bring to you professionally and to the local community and the need for volunteers from varied professional backgrounds to drive improvement in schools.

You’ll also hear about the free service provided by Governors for Schools - helping you find a school governor role in your local community, training and support.

We'll discuss how you could become a link Governor for Employability. Governors can work with their schools to implement an effective work-related learning strategy, harness existing resources and opportunities, and open up bespoke opportunities within their own professional networks, ensuring our young people have access to excellent careers insight and employer engagement.

The event is being kindly hosted by Governors for Schools partner Durham University.

Light refreshments will be served.
Free parking is available onsite.
