When medical language excludes, are there other ways to engage with health?Join us for ‘Between the Lines: A Research Cabaret’ , an evening of live music, poetry, dance, and chaos to explore what it means to live between the lines – with researchers from the Durham Institute for Medical Humanities and the best local performers.Featuring a specially commissioned response from New Writing North.Come along for a night of research as you’ve never experienced before (unless you came to the past three cabarets)!Though tickets are free, reserving your place is essential!This event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 6-15 November 2025. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, with generous support from Research England, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
