The changes that were introduced by the Union Customs Code (UCC) in May 2016 mean that achieving Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status is more relevant than ever to International Trade business and it will continue to be relevant whatever happens when we exit the EU.

The UCC affects the way many companies involved in international trade do business and some of the changes introduced include mandatory guarantees and the requirement for all businesses applying to use customs regimes or special procedures to meet the AEO criteria making AEO status even more important

 

Who should attend?

Importers, Exporters, Freight Forwarders and Customs Agents who already have a basic understanding of AEO status and wish to take the next step towards completing the self-assessment questionnaire and submitting their application to HMRC.

Keith Robe, who has over 30 years’ experience in his former role with HMRC will talk about all aspects of AEO and its benefits to your business and will take your questions. Keith has over 10 years’ experience in AEO matters including training of HMRC staff, responsibility for applications and audits, and is Security & Safety qualified
