The project, which is run in collaboration with Active Sunderland and Sport England, is designed to get little legs moving, by engaging with their local environments. These activity sessions - aimed at under 5s - will look to kick-start a lifelong love of activity and exercise in the outdoors.Research overwhelmingly proves that two of the key enablers of wellbeing and great health are exercise and engagement with the outdoors. These sessions are designed to incorporate movement-based activities in a natural environment with little ones developing and growing strength and dexterity by interacting with the habitats and flora and fauna at Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve.The sessions will run on Thursdays in six week blocks.
