The Lute Society of America North Carolina Chapter and SaSa Sounds present: “Pluck Lot" Fest 2026.
A Pot luck for Lute and Classical Guitar players. A Saturday filled with masterclasses, ensemble playing, fellowship, food and a concert.
PLUCK LOT FEST SCHEDULE:

9:00 a.m. Participants Welcome: meet and greet, instrument share, tuning, ensemble confirmation (ensembles organized in advance), orientation. Coffee/Tea, fruit and bagels provided from Bruegger’s bagels. Placing lunch orders for catering/bring your own.

9:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m. SaSa's Intro to lute Survey for Lute and Guitar Players.

10:00-11:30 a.m. Lute Ensembles with SaSa's. All levels welcome!

10:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Colin Fullerton’s lecture: Playing Renaissance music in the Classical Guitar.

10:30-11:30 a.m. Colin Fullerton’s Master Class for Classical Guitarists.

11:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. Lutes and Guitars collide: A conversation with SaSa and Colin Fullerton.

12:00-1:00 p.m. Lunch. Catering available for purchase/bring your own.

1:00-2:00 p.m. Mixed Ensemble. Led by SaSa. All levels and instruments are welcome. Classical guitar and Lutes play together!

2:00-3:00 p.m. Jocelyn Nelson’s lecture. A conversation with Caroline Usher. The Instruments and Composers.

3:00-4:00 p.m. Coffee Break. Suggested coffee shops in walking distance:

4:00-6:00 p.m. Faculty Concert. Fullerton, Swenberg, Usher, Wiggins and SaSa combined forces. Open to the public and streamed. Tickets available at the website and at the door.
