Join us for the Women Achievers networking meeting, as we celebrate Women's Month with a powerful morning of connection, healing, and purpose.
Speaker: Lizanne Hattingh is a single mom, internationally published author, speaker, employee, friend, lay counsellor, bereavement facilitator, as well as chef, cleaner, nurse and Uber driver to her kids, sometimes all at the same time! As such, she relates well to the modern women in society who balance life with all its ups and downs, whilst still trying to maintain her own personal sanity.
Lizanne’s life experiences enable her to guide women in similar situations towards healing and growth. Her ability to uplift and motivate those around her comes through not only in her writing and public speaking engagements, but also in her heart for serving those around her.

UWA CAres - Charity
This month, Umhlanga Women Achievers proudly supports the Durban and Coast SPCA. The Durban & Coast Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (South Africa) is a registered non-profit organisation that rescues abused and neglected domestic, farm and wild animals, promotes responsible pet ownership, provides a shelter for strays, and a veterinary service for pets of underprivileged people. Their SPCA sees more than 13000 homeless animals through their doors each year. Some abandoned, some unwanted, some living on the streets and collected, some abused, hungry, cold, frightened.
This year, a few of our UWA members will be braving their kennels for the night again to raise funds for International Homeless Animals Day on 16 August 2025. To support them, please go to their website or follow their social media pages to find out how to donate.
