POINT CANAL SUPER TRI
Durban Sunday  29th November – Near the harbour
7am start time
Registration from 5:15am MAHA CAFÉ The Point Durban

For the 1st time ever, SA is set to stage a triathlon that is truly unique to the triathlon landscape – we have super short distances (swim 200m then bike 3km then run 1km) but you do that multiple times (3 times for the SUPER TRI and 2 times for the Half Super tri)

What does this mean?

You will dive in – swim 200m – get on your bike – ride 3km – then after that put on the run shoes and complete the 1km lap – once that is done – you dive straight back into the water and complete the entire swim bike run format again (option to do it 2 times or 3 times)
Relay Teams will have a team of 3 (1 person will swim 200m then hand over the baton to the cyclist – they ride 3km then hand over to the runner – they run 1km – then back to the swimmer who swims again and so on – WHAT FUN

Yes its short – you don’t have to be speedy – it’s a fun triathlon that is something different – for all ages – 8yrs and up – for the entire family – make a festive day out of it

We are going to spice things up a little – TOP 10 MEN and TOP 10 LADIES in the SUPER TRI OVERALL will be selected to run a FINAL as the last race of the day over 200m – 3km – 1km to determine the ULIMATE SUPER TRI CHAMPIONS

Everyone win’s – Everyone gets a medal and Everyone has fun

ROUTES are Easy – 200m in the super clean canal (you can stand that is how shallow and safe it is) – the 1km cycle lap is short and sharp but besides a few corners – non technical – the run is flat 0m elevation
