Returning to The Chairman for the first time since 2019, alternative jazz-rapper ByLwansta brings his full 6-piece live band to Durban for an immersive night of performance. Known for his introspective lyricism and genre-bending sound, ByLwansta’s set will explore the intersection of sonic experimentation and personal storytelling.
Backed by trumpet, keys, bass, drums, and lush harmonies, this performance invites audiences into a rich, cinematic atmosphere where vulnerability meets precision, a rare blend of hip-hop and jazz, all held together by a voice that’s as sharp as it is sincere.
Opening up the night is Amongst The People I Know, the experimental soul project of Pretoria-based drummer and producer Tebogo J Mosane. Renowned for his animated performance style and ever-shifting live setup, making every set a unique and unpredictable sonic journey.
