Heather Freeman, a local contemporary abstract artist, leads a panel of artists featured in the upcoming Durango Open Studio Tour! Artists from multiple creative disciplines discuss the ins and outs of being an artist in southwest Colorado, providing a sneak peek into their artistic lives.

This free self-guided art walk of local artist studios gives potential buyers, galleries, and art lovers an opportunity to connect on a different level. Participants can see how things are made and in a way, be part of the process. Offering a wide array of fine arts — artists are sharing their craft from drawings, paintings, wearable art, photography, pottery, printmaking, woodworking, jewelry, mosaics, sculpture, furniture, metalwork, and mixed media. Come experience the arts in our community! Get an inside peek into an artist’s creative process, view the art, and when inspired - bring a piece home.
