Facing the doldrums of aging and unhappy marriages, Mitch, Phil, and Ed seek to reignite their masculinity by participating in a genuine Southwestern cattle drive. At the Stone Ranch, they are placed under the supervision of Curly (Jack Palance), a gruff, tough-talking trail boss. What begins as a macho escape from their urban responsibilities quickly turns into a test of survival and emotional reckoning. When the drive goes awry, leaving the city men responsible for the entire herd, they are forced to confront their fears of aging, bond as friends, and learn profound life lessons from Curly.
