- **Event Description**: Level-up reading labs are a different twist on all ages of reading. This lab groups students of all ages together to work on a story. We will not simply read a book for practice but work on the book. We read and discuss the topic so that students can start to understand reading retention is as important as reading itself. 

Having older students work with younger students gives them a chance to be a leader in a subject they need to build confidence in. Over time, they have the opportunity to gain confidence in their skills, become a mentor, and learn to lead. 

Younger students get someone to look up to while getting the practice they need to succeed. In the last 20 minutes of the class, the instructor will read to the students helping them with the last component, loving a good story.
