?SprintDog™ is a sport introduced by Dogs Australia.
?It’s essentially a 100-metre timed sprint for dogs.
?Dogs run either chasing a lure or recalling to their owner. 
?Each dog does two runs, and their times are averaged. (Please ensure you are on time to avoid delays)

Their speed is converted into points, using a handicap system based on their height to level the playing field.

✨All dog breeds and sizes are welcome. 
✨Dogs must be at least 12 months old to compete.
✨Dogs need to be registered on Dogs Australia’s Main, Sporting, or Associate Register.

Importantly, dogs are not racing directly against each other — it's more about their own performance, improving speed, and reaching personal bests.

✨In Queensland, the SprintDog community has been building a dedicated sprint track. ✨
SprintDog gives all dogs, not just performance or working breeds, a chance to compete in a fun, athletic activity.
It's a safe and structured way to channel a dog’s energy, build confidence, and track improvement.
For owners, it’s a great way to bond with their dog, encourage fitness, and set goals.

???????????: Because of the handicap system, small dogs or less athletic breeds can compete fairly alongside larger or faster breeds.

Training Opportunity: Events for both dogs and officials help grow the sport sustainably.
