They are, in order: “Dynamic Texture: Strategic Softness and Strength” - There is so much beauty and excitement to be found in contrast. In this class, we will embody the contrasting feelings of softness and strength, to elicit in turn both the feelings of melting through molasses and popping like a kernel of corn. We'll then practice enticing your partner to change at just the right moments (yes, from both roles). Consensually communicating contrast is a skill that deserves practice. “How To F*ck Around Without F*cking It Up” - It is time to find your most playful voice: Dialogue and debate your partner's directions with dastardly deviance while keeping connection consistent and compassionate. In this class, you will explore how to offer and accept interjections with ease, clarity, and confidence. With practice, you can play off your partner's personal panache pretty near perfectly. Beyond the workshops, two of our core values at Menagerie are collaboration and improvisation, and this month, we're inviting our DJs to play with those ideas as well with a unique format that will allow them to trade sets of 3 songs each with each other throughout the night. We've invited our DJ friends from Atlanta, Greenville, Michigan, and Orlando to play with us, and we're excited to see where the night takes us!
