The desire for colour has been part of our lives since the existence of early man but how did our ancestors produce dyes from the plants they found around them?
Explore the natural dyes which have been used in Britain since prehistoric times.
Create your own natural dye samples and learn about the history of dyeing in the local area.
This workshop is suitable for beginners, those who have begun to experiment with dyeing and for everyone with a love of the natural world and the history of our local area.
All materials will be provide and Joanne will guide you through process in a step-by-step way.
Please bring an apron or old shirt to protect your clothes and wear comfortable shoes.
Tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring your own lunch or pop to the cafe next door for a tasty treat.
