Eugene Onegin at Thaxted Festival

Tchaikovsky’s sumptuous music tells a story of love, loss, rejection and despair, with a tragic twist and a lyrical ending. On the way there are beguiling melodies, superb arias, and a grand ball.

There will be a long interval for picnics in Thaxted’s Conservation Garden, close to the church, or dinner locally. When you book tickets for the opera, you will be able to purchase places for your picnic at £2 each.

The garden will be open from 4.00pm when you can bring in your picnic and set up your places. A very limited number of seats and table space will be provided, so we advise you to bring your own. The garden will be stewarded throughout the evening, so that you can safely leave things and collect them at the end of the opera.
