Come join me in my Wild Folk Medicine series and re-learn our ancestral skills of foraging and creating homemade folk medicine and wild food recipes. Each month we will explore what is in season, and will focus on a different plant and technique, including creating your own teas, tinctures, infused oils, honey and vinegars, salves/balms and syrups and sauces.
In September, we will meet: Hawthorn
In our last session of this series, we will feel the change of the seasons into autumn as we look at the berries of the Hawthorn tree, known as "haws". You'll learn how to identify Hawthorn and harvest its heart-healing red berries. We will discuss the benefits of Hawthorn tea, and taste some ourselves, and you'll have the opportunity to make your own homemade Hawthorn sauce.
On our walk, I will also be briefly discussing many other plants that are in season and how they can be utilised for food, medicine and magic.
This is your opportunity to connect more deeply with nature, the old ways, and your own health!
The exchange for this event is ยฃ27.50 per person.
Spaces limited to 12
