Adult sewing class with Craft class for Kids 3+
Do you struggle to find a sewing class that you can attend due to having pre-school age children?
We are happy to begin a trial class for adults who would like to learn to sew where you can bring your child/children (age 3 & over). They will be in a connecting room working on a range of crafts, including drawing, painting & messy play, with our resident artist Natasha Kemp. (You may be called upon to settle your child if they are having difficulty coping without you & for any toilet breaks). We only have space for 6 children so spaces must be booked in advance and will be on a first come first served basis. Payment secures a place.
Learn how to sew in our morning class for Beginners or Improvers.
You will be taught how to read patterns, layout, cutting & step by step instructions for completing your chosen project.
Bring along a pattern and fabric or purchase both in our shop. If you bring in these items please choose an easy pattern which requires the use of cotton fabric (cotton is the easiest fabric to start on). We have lots of fabric in stock as well as Butterick, McCalls & Kwik Sew patterns.
Bring any project you like and we will help you to complete it. You will work at your own pace.
5 weeks x 1.5hrs every Wednesday 10.30-12noon £60 for block of 5 classes (includes craft session for x1 child).
This is not a crèche facility but a class for children to play, who will be able to cope without a parent present. We are trialling this in order to help parents who are normally unable to attend any classes due to having children to care for. You may be called upon to help your child with toilet visits and any problems coping.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
Any classes you miss cannot be refunded, however, if we have to cancel a class for any reason, we will add the missed week onto the end of the block.
