The Stargazer – Dunedin Railways Journey

Explore the mysteries of the cosmos on board a 4.5-hour train trip on The Stargazer!

Dunedin Railways has partnered with the Tūhura Otago Museum to bring you two exclusive evenings of celestial wonder in the Taieri Gorge.

Enjoy a gourmet meal from the award-winning Precinct catering team as the train carries you under Dunedin’s night skies. At Hindon, step under the stars and explore the cosmos with seasoned astronomers from the Dunedin Astronomical Society who will guide you between state-of-the-art telescopes and answer all your burning questions. Science Communicators from the Tūhura Otago Museum will also lead two interactive astronomy activities, unlocking mysteries of the universe.

Discover distant galaxies, spot sparkling stars, and admire the beauty of Dunedin’s night skies onboard the Stargazer. Don't miss out on this exclusive winter adventure!
