Waihōpai/Ōtepoti psych-rock reggae trio 'Left or Right' are FINALLY set to record their much anticipated 4th studio album in November/December of 2025!
To celebrate and to help raise funds toward the project, LOR will play 3 Te Waipounamu/South Island shows for their 3 most loyal fanbases over 3 Saturdays in December.
Pioneering a blend of dub-reggae grooves, soaring vocal harmonies, and off-beat lyricism, at times infused with moments of visceral rock riffery, the multi-sensory barrage of Left or Right’s show is not to be missed.
With a reputation for larger-than-life live performances, the lads will be firing on all cylinders fresh from the studio, playing tracks from the new album as well as a selection of classics from their 3 previous LPs: Nuggety, Buzzy & Trippy.

With lyrical and vocal honesty to the fore, Mads Harrop merges emotional vulnerability with a sharp, rock-driven guitar tone in her music, prominent in her previously released single 'Hiding In Colour'. Citing the likes of AK79 and 1970’s punk as inspiration, her tracks ring out with the infectiously simple energy of classic punk.
Harrop is neurodivergent, with autism, anxiety and Tourette syndrome (she was diagnosed with Tourette’s in her first year of university). She describes her songwriting as coming from a very personal place, with a significant emphasis on lyrics and personal experience.
