Cosy yoga nidra, mindfulness and meditation - creating ease in the body and lasting inner peace and contentment. Koha / By donation.
Warmly welcoming you to be gentle guided in a settling reconnection to body, breath, stillness and natural flow, for an hour on Wednesday evening. Beginning with mindfuless and breath awareness and cosy long-held yin / restorative poses to deeply rest and restore both the physical (the muscles, bones and organs) and subtle body, (the mind / nervous system / chi) as well as soul-nourishing mala meditation and kirtan. Creating this connection of mind, body and spirit will help you sleep better, find focus, reduce cravings, and be more at peace.
No experience of yoga needed and any age / level of fitness welcome.
Chai and treats at the end.
Please reserve your spot by purchasing a koha ticket or get in touch if you're planning to come!
This Deep Peace session is facilitated by myself, Tamara, a visiting yoga teacher from Twizel. I have 18 years guiding folks in their yoga and breathwork practice, and to drop in and notice, then work with, the breath to fuel and strengthen movement and poise, as well as to soften and let go of tension. With this attention on the way the breath moves through the body and interacts with sensation of and possibilities for stretch and strengthen and opening, the mind becomes balanced (calm yet alert) and more easily brought into focus on what we really want to be doing in life.
Here are some ideas for bringing more rest and deep peace into your routine.
