Come and meet Mary Duff, the author of a new children’s picture book about a rare ancient whale fossil discovered in North Otago!
This book features work by Emeritus Professor Ewan Fordyce, illustrations by children of Duntroon Primary School, and art by Burns Pollock.
Mary will read from her book surrounded by incredible objects in our Southern Land, Southern People Gallery. You will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of A Discovery in the Rocks and have it autographed.
Stay to hear from a Tūhura Natural Science Curator about fossils in the Museum, then participate in an illustration workshop with one of Tūhura's talented artists at 11am in our Barclay Theatre.
Don’t miss this unique event for all ages!
The Friends of Tūhura are proud to sponsor this family-friendly book launch.
