This event includes 6 group sessions around the theme of stress management. Learn why you are stressed, how stress impacts you, what keeps it going and what to do about it. Delivered by a qualified counsellor specialised in working with stress and anxiety, this workshop will combine group activities and discussions with elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to offer participants an insight into how to manage their own stress. Through 6 weekly workshops, you will be given all the information you need to better manage and decrease your stress levels, and get support from others sharing the same concerns. You will leave the course feeling in control of your stress and having learned practical tools and techniques to be able to face stressful situations with calm and mastery.

Info: Set up your own personal stress-related goals, and learn about how CBT can help.
Info: We all have negative thoughts. Learn to identify yours, how they impact your emotions and what to do to challenge them.
Info: Learn how to test your underlying assumptions (and what these are!) so you understand why you sometimes feel stressed when there does not seem to be a reason.
Info: Learn simple, practical techniques to combat stress, and make a plan tailored to your own needs.
Info: In this final session, we will look at imagery as another way to alleviate stress and we will summarise everything we learned during the workshops.
