We work with 13–17-year-olds with mental health challenges or lacking self-esteem to drive positive mental and physical health improvements.We offer our free project to two Scottish high schools each year who have identified a need for our help. We initiate a long-term intervention involving an intensive 12-month physical and mental health training programme. Our young people work hard and become fit, proficient, and learn multiple outdoor and team building skills, with the aim of safely participating in a ten-day, self led, winter skiing/sledge-hauling and scientific expedition in the Arctic.The Polar Academy covers all the costs involved in the programme, we do not ask the young people or their families to pay a penny. By taking part in one of our events and raising funds, you are helping us to raise vital funds to change the lives of vulnerable Scottish teens."
