On Friday 12th December acclaimed comedian and actor Darren Connell is bringing his hugely popular improvised crowd interaction show to Number 57. No script, no safety net, just honest, unpredictable comedy from one of the best stand-ups in the country. All previous shows have sold out, be quick to book seats!
Darren Connell is an acclaimed actor and comedian from Springburn, Glasgow. He’s best known for his role as Bobby in BBC Scotland’s hit comedy Scot Squad, for which he was nominated for a BAFTA. Since being persuaded by Kevin Bridges to take up comedy full time, he’s been in high demand both on and off screen, having sold out shows at comedy festivals, hosted popular podcasts and been nominated for awards. In 2025 he brought a smash hit show to Glasgow’s legendary King’s Theatre and started a new podcast with Gary Faulds.
“Extremely likeable… his easy rapport with his audience and chunky, rather sadsack quality extending him the credit for an occasional, more calculated, dark gag.” – Chortle
“A dark talent that feels like it's going places.” – The Scotsman
“A gritty, dry Scottish sense of humour that keeps the audience in stitches throughout the show.” – Broadway Baby

**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**
• Tickets can be refunded or exchanged no less than 24 hours before the show.
• Line-ups can be subject to change at short notice.
• The show is in three 30 minute parts separated by two intervals. Doors open at 7pm, one hour before the start time of 8pm. Please arrive before the show starts but not before 7pm. Attendees who arrive late will not be granted admission or a refund.
• This is NOT a standing event. All audience members must be seated while the performance is underway, unless ordering at the bar or using the toilets. When ordering at the bar, please whisper.
• Entrance and exit is via the side door only; please wait outside at the door for ticket check and to be seated by the doorman.
• Tables are limited and you may have to share one. If you choose to sit on a row, please move all the way down to the end and don’t leave empty seats between groups. You may not be able to sit together if the remaining chairs available are spread out. If you are particular about seating we recommend arriving as early as possible.
• Seats in the front half of the room must be filled before seating in the back half is allocated.
• Seating in the alcove at the back is reserved for the comedians and their guests only.
• Don’t talk or heckle during the performances. This rule is NOT optional. It is very distracting for both the performer and other audience members. Some performers (usually the host) might talk to the audience, but otherwise please let the comedians do the talking. Heckling does not ‘help the show’. Think of it like cinema rules: laughter, cheers, applause are all great, but talking or yelling out is not. And another cinema rule…
• Please put your phone on silent. Photos are fine but please no video or flash photography.
• These shows are for people aged 18 and over. Due to licencing 17 year olds can attend accompanied by a parent or guardian, but we cannot allow entry to those aged 16 and under, accompanied or not. You may be asked to show ID if you do not look of age.
• Comedy Dundee does not necessarily agree or disagree with the opinions and viewpoints expressed by the comedians. Acts are booked based on their ability to make people laugh, beyond that we respect freedom of expression. If you disagree or are offended by what you hear, you are free to express this by not laughing, by leaving, or by respectfully raising your objections with the act after the show or via social media. You may not interrupt an on-going performance.
• Audience members who repeatedly break these rules will be asked to leave.
