Get ready for Christmas and join us for a special day of festive fun at our free Christmas Market event on Saturday 6th December.
Find the perfect gift at the museum's pop-up festive market, showcasing some of the wonderful independent makers, businesses, and suppliers from the local area. We’ll also have festive-themed family-friendly crafts, activities, and storytelling throughout the day, with the McManus Café serving up delicious food and hot drinks.
Here’s what to expect:
🎁 Christmas Market
Located in The Victoria Gallery on the museum’s first floor, the Christmas Market will run from 10am – 4pm. It’s a lovely opportunity to meet some fantastic local suppliers and stock up for Christmas!
📖 Christmas Tales for Families
Enjoy interactive Christmas stories in the museum’s Family Space with local storyteller Robbie Fotheringham. Sessions are 1.30-2pm & 2.30-3pm
❄️ Festive Crafts
Pop into the Learning Studio for some family fun and create festive-themed crafts with the museum’s Creative Learning Team between 12.30pm and 3.30pm.
☕ McManus Café
The McManus Café will be on hand to keep you fuelled throughout the day — whether you're after a warming hot drink, a tasty lunch, or a delicious slice of cake, it's the perfect spot to take a break and soak up the festive atmosphere.
