About this Event

Join us for this workshop which will explore how we can care for ourselves with the same intention and compassion that we bring to caring for others.

For many of us in the sector, boundaries can feel uncomfortable. We are used to giving more, staying late, or saying “yes” even when we are already stretched.

But boundaries are not barriers. They are the structures that allow us to keep doing meaningful work without losing ourselves in the process.

Boundaries That Build: Protecting Our Energy for Sustainable Working is part of The ECHO Project, a new series of workshops designed to support the emotional resilience of those who dedicate their lives to helping others.

Our modern working lives are filled with noise. The constant ping of group chats, late-night emails, and social media notifications can make it feel like there is no space to stop. Technology has made our work more flexible, but it has also made it harder to switch off.

In the second workshop, we will get space to reflect on those pressures and start to design practical boundaries that fit our personal and professional realities.

This session is open to all, especially those working in the third sector and any care professions — people who give so much of themselves to others and sometimes forget to pause and care for their own wellbeing.

Lunch and refreshments will be served from 12 noon, providing a chance to connect and network before the session begins.

The ECHO (Empowering Communities, Helping Others) Project is proudly funded by NHS Tayside Charitable Foundation.
