Originally from Donegal and now based in County Louth, McGee brings more than 25 years of experience on the Irish live circuit to the Fireside stage. Having performed with bands including Shades, 10th Avenue and Roadhouse, he has built a reputation as a versatile live performer and songwriter, blending Irish storytelling traditions with elements of classic rock and contemporary acoustic music. His current solo material is rooted in heartfelt lyrics, strong melodies and the kind of authenticity shaped by decades on stages around the country.

Adding something completely different to the night is Canadian musician Brian J. Melady, whose relaxed acoustic performances are known for their warmth, humour and audience connection. Joining him are his two St. Bernard therapy dogs, Big Scooby and Mr. Mutsy, whose appearances alongside Melady have become a memorable part of the live experience.

With intimate performances, original songs and an atmosphere built around connection rather than spectacle, Fireside Sessions continues to offer one of Dundalk’s most welcoming live music nights.
