Step into a carefully curated environment where six hours of continuous performances from Cowichan-based artists unfold as a living soundscape. Through ambient textures, sustained tones, and evolving drones, each artist offers a unique vibrational experience designed to soften the edges of time and invite you into a more expansive awareness.
The space itself will be transformed by Shaonie into a sensory sanctuary, where visual elements and intentional design support a feeling of calm, curiosity, and connection. Andrew Allsgood will have his drone based, digitally manipulated series of psychedelic photographic works on display to offer a visual compliment to the audio offerings. Within this environment, we encourage a practice of intentional listening—an opportunity to fully receive the subtle shifts, harmonics, and emotional landscapes carried through sound.
Our central listening area will be held as a non-verbal space, allowing participants to immerse themselves without distraction. This shared quiet creates a collective field of presence where sound becomes the primary language.
Throughout the day, you’ll also find a tea station offering warmth and grounding, alongside tarot and astrology readings for those wishing to explore intuitive and cosmic perspectives.
International Drone Day is part of a global movement celebrating drone, ambient music, and sustained sound practices across the world. By participating, you are joining a worldwide network of listeners and creators tuning into a shared sonic experience—an unfolding, planet-wide composition.
