Regardless of who we are, death is a shared journey, but many European cultures treat it with shock and denial, framing it as untimely or grotesque. In The Origin of Life and Death, Jan Blake draws on African traditions to reimagine our relationship with death, seeking ways to acknowledge and walk alongside it.
