Dumfries and Galloway Group are delighted to welcome Katy Wedderburn and Jamie Meechan from MacRoberts LLP for our final planned event of the year on 3rd April. MacRoberts’ Employment Law Group is the longest established specialist team in Scotland. April is always a busy time of the year for employers and HR, and April 2019 will be no different. At this update session with MacRoberts LLP, we will provide you with a summary of the changes this April, together with a general employment law update.

Katy Wedderburn is a Partner and Head of Employment Law at MacRoberts LLP. She is accredited as a specialist in Employment Law by the Law Society of Scotland. Katy regularly represents clients in the Employment Tribunal and conducts Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) appeals. Her clients include listed world-wide companies, UK plcs, SMEs, local authorities, third sector and charity organisations, and senior executives. Katy regularly presents to Scottish solicitors who are not specialists in Employment Law and HR Professionals.

Jamie Meechan is a solicitor in the specialist employment law team at MacRoberts LLP. Jamie advises employers and employees in relation to all aspects of employment law and HR issues. He also represents clients in the Employment Tribunal, and has represented clients in Scotland, England & Wales, and Northern Ireland. Jamie is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) (UK), and writes various articles on employment law (and has been published in Scottish Legal News, Business Insider, Third Force News and HR Magazine).Helen Rudge owner of tic-toc-tic to give an introduction to building resilience. Tic-toc-tic deliver cutting edge, learning interventions designed to help you, your team and your organisation. The topic of resilience is important in the changing and fast paced world of work in the 21st century.
