Arts Award Programme Stakeholder Evening
INVITE TO THE DUMFRIES ARTS AWARD PROGRAMME STAKEHOLDER EVENING
The Guild of Players at the Theatre Royal, Dumfries would like to invite you to a stakeholder evening for the Dumfries Arts Award Programme, our new arts-based employability and citizenship programme for young people with additional support needs.
The Dumfries Arts Award Programme is a collaborative project involving the Theatre Royal, The Usual Place and the School of Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Glasgow. The initial one-year pilot project has just ended and we have been fortunate enough to have secured funding from the Holywood Trust to allow the pilot to be extended into a second year.
The Guild of Players is committed to helping tackle the social exclusion faced by young people with additional support needs which is recognised to have detrimental effects on their health and wellbeing. We hope you can come to our stakeholder event on Wednesday 27 February where you can find out more about the Dumfries Arts Award Programme, find out how the first year of the pilot has gone, and have the opportunity to give your views to help steer the Programme as it enters its second year
5pm - 6pm Guests arrive, buffet and refreshments with an opportunity to meet our fantastic Interns
6pm - 7pm Official welcome by the Provost of Dumfries, Councillor Tracey Little
