The Nature of Grounding
The Nature of Grounding is a six weeks series of therapeutically based yoga guidance, exploration, wonderment through embodiment, discernment and integration.
Similar to calming, grounding is an ongoing practice that often works best with effortless effort. Grounding is experiencing a sense of safety with self and others, being well-balanced and sensible, being comfortable with what is occurring within us and around us, creating a stable space to acknowledge what’s actually happening in the moment. Grounding the human body is bringing it back to its makeup of being a part of nature.
Throughout this series, we will focus on an array of grounding techniques with a yogic lens.
Feeling Mother Earth below your feet, observing Father Sky above your eyes, honoring directions to the East + West, North + South, noticing where your breath travels within your body, taking a moment to soak in the present moment as it is.
