Join us for the Gwinnett County Kwanzaa 2025: Celebrating Kujichagulia.
Kwanzaa is a week-long celebration of African-American culture that takes place from December 26 to January 1 of each year.
Kwanzaa celebrates African American history, values, family, and community. It's based on African harvest festival traditions and the philosophy of Kawaida, which defines culture as a key component in people's development.
The Gwinnett County Kwanzaa Celebration: Ujima and Ujamma 2025 takes place virtually on Saturday, December 27, 2024 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. It is a family-friendly event, so bring the entire family and your friends.
The event features a Kwanzaa program, activities, Black books giveaway, Black culture games, prizes, and networking We are going to love up on each other while building Black unity and power with a 2025 strategic plan!
Our Kwanzaa dishes are provided by Moses-Ragsdale Kitchen and Camrose Creative Services -- prepared with a lot of love! Vegan options available.
Menu: Chicken and Seafood Gumbo, Southern Baked Chicken, Vegetable Medley (Vegan), Jollof Rice, Butter and Garlic Rice, Mixed Greens Salad, Bread, Desserts, Lemonade and Tea.
This event is presented by the Gwinnett County Black Chamber of Commerce, Black Gwinnett Magazine and the Urban Mediamakers.
