Duluth Explorers Club: "When Things Went Bad, Climbing Edition"

To kick off the TENTH FULL SEASON of the Duluth Explorers Club we are returning to a fan-favorite theme and format: storytelling by local outdoor adventurers about "when things went bad." As an event co-created and hosted by the Duluth Climbers Coalition, and which featured a climbing adventure as its inaugural presentation, the Duluth Explorers Club is celebrating a decade of outdoor storytelling with an evening of climbing-adjacent accounts of mistakes and misfortunes. No slides, no music, just gripping true tales of lightning strikes, rockfall, and other alpine catastrophes, told by the people who experienced them. Show up early, grab a bite and a brew, socialize, and then settle in. Presentation begins at 7:30 pm. Free event!
