The Park Point 5-Miler & 2-Mile Walk is the third race in the annual KP Challenge, with participants committing to run three YAF races throughout the spring and summer. The others are the Saint Fennessy 4K and Fitger's 5K, with the series designed to keep participants on a regular training schedule that supports the successful completion of longer distances.

Net proceeds from the event go to benefit the Young Athletes Foundation (YAF), a charity of Grandma's Marathon focused on helping the area's youth develop healthy and active lifestyles.
