The Fitger's 5K is the second race in the annual KP Challenge, with participants committing to run three YAF races throughout the spring and summer. Net proceeds from the event go to benefit the Young Athletes Foundation (YAF), a charity of Grandma's Marathon focused on helping the area's youth develop healthy and active lifestyles. Since its inception in 1990, the YAF has contributed more than $1.8 million to youth athletic organizations in a five-county region through grants, scholarships, and community events.
