Like the world is a big scary place? Maybe Healthy Minds is for you?We meet outside, under a tarp every fortnight, throughout most of the year in two different settings. One is in the woods in Dulnain Bridge and the other one is in Lil’s Garden, behind Grantown library so those with mobility issues can join in too.Nature & wildlife is the theme. We know that exposure to the outdoors and the natural world significantly relieves the nervous system and reduces stress. Endorphins, serotonin and dopamine are substantially released and the feeling of wellbeing enhanced.We undertake basic conservation tasks to encourage wildlife and our wildflower meadow in Lil’s Garden is home to all manner of polliantors! All of which we record on the appropriate data bases so contributing to Citizen Science too.Lunch is cooked on the stove, is always vegetarian and teas/coffees/biscuits a must throughout the day!Contact must be made with Ranger Saranne first on 07818 588 222 or saranne.bish@highlifehighland.com, to ensure compatibility and allow for site visits before potentially joining the group.This venture is supported by the Green Health Partnership.
