About the event

Priory Fest 26
PRIORY FEST – A COMMUNITY FAMILY DAY AT PRIORY PARK

We’re excited to be hosting the very first Priory Fest at Priory Park, Dudley — a fun-filled community festival bringing together activities, food, music, and local traders for a great day out for all ages. There will be plenty of free activities throughout the day, making it an affordable and welcoming event for families.
2026 Is a special year for our Priory Ruins, and marks 100 years that Dudley Council has managed the site!
Priory Park is a large park, so the event will be spread across different areas to make the most of the space and to offer something for everyone.

Children’s Activities Area
One end of the park will be focused on children and family activities. This will be the busiest and liveliest part of the event and will include:
A large inflatable area
Archery run by the Army Cadets (very popular at our Autumn Festival)
Sports and active games
Sweet stalls and toy stalls
Fun activities for children of all ages
Additional activities currently being arranged
This area is close to the play park, sports pitches, courts, and toilets, making it ideal for families spending longer periods here.

Food Court
The Food Court will be located near the Priory Ruins so all food traders are together in one place and visitors can easily see what’s available.
Confirmed traders include:
Mrs B’s Jacket Potatoes
Tasty Bites Hot Food Stall
Award Winning Bad Boy Wings
The Stick Waffle Co
Bubble Tea Stall
With more food traders to be announced
There will be a good mix of savoury and sweet options, making it easy for families to grab food throughout the day.

Market Stalls and Artisan Crafts
Alongside the food and activity areas, there will be a market featuring local stallholders, crafters, and small businesses.
This is a great opportunity to browse handmade items, gifts, and locally produced goods while supporting independent traders.

Calm Activities Area
For families looking for something a little quieter, there will be a calmer area of the event featuring:
Storytime sessions by the lilypond
Family-friendly workshops
Arts and Crafts
Space to slow down and enjoy a more relaxed pace
A great spot to bring a picnic blanket and relax
The Wildlife Spotter Challenge, a fun free activity encouraging families to explore the park and spot local wildlife
This area is ideal for younger children, quieter moments, or families wanting a break from the busier parts of the festival.

Historic and Educational Area
Set around the Priory Ruins, dating back to 1106, this part of the event will focus on history, learning, and gentle performance. Activities will include:
Guided tours of the ruins
Educational and creative activities linked to the site
Dudley Zoo and Friends of Wrens Nest Stalls which were a great success at the Autumn Festival.
This area will be quieter for those wanting to take part in the historic and educational activities

Rose Garden
The Rose Garden will remain a quiet, reflective space during Priory Fest. It’s a lovely spot to pause, enjoy the flowers, and take a break from the busier parts of the park. We kindly ask visitors to help us keep this area calm and peaceful throughout the day.

What’s Free on the Day
Priory Fest is designed to be a welcoming and affordable day out for families. Free activities on the day will include:
Entry to the event and access to all areas
Storytime sessions
Family-friendly workshops
Arts and Crafts
Historic tours of the Priory Ruins
Open mic performances
The Wildlife Spotter Challenge

What to Bring With You
To help you make the most of your day, we recommend bringing:
A picnic blanket
Reusable water bottles
Sunscreen, hats, or weather-appropriate clothing
Comfortable footwear
A mix of cash and card, as some stalls may vary

Accessibility and Facilities
We want Priory Fest to be welcoming and enjoyable for everyone:
Accessible paths run through the park
Accessible toilets are available on site
Open spaces and seating areas are available for rest
Quieter spaces are available in the Calm Activities Area and Rose Garden
Stewards and volunteers will be around the park throughout the day to help
If you have specific accessibility questions ahead of the event, please feel free to get in touch.

Priory Fest is all about bringing the community together, supporting local groups and traders, and creating a relaxed, enjoyable day out for families. We’re really looking forward to filling Priory Park with activity, music, food, and community spirit — and we hope you’ll join us.
