Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to start native seeds using the simple and successful winter sowing milk-jug method. You’ll head home with your own prepared container filled with locally sourced native seeds such as milkweed, coneflowers, prairie dropseed, or black-eyed Susans.

Have extra native seeds from your garden? Bring them along to share! This casual seed swap lets participants trade locally collected native seeds, expand their plant diversity, and connect with others who are restoring habitat in their yards.

Please clearly label any seeds you bring with the species name and approximate collection location.
