- **Event Description**: Learn about U.S. Special Forces groups & their tribal allies in the Vietnam War while handling rare artifacts from the NMMV collections.About this EventA VIP Experience at the National Museum of Military Vehicles where you will learn about U.S. Special Force groups and their tribal allies while handling extremely rare artifacts used by some of the war's most elite units.The U.S. Spcial Forces' commitment in South Vietnam began in 1957, with the mission of training, advising, and leading the Civilian Irregular Defense Group (CIDG). The CIDG was made up of over 40 different Montagnard tribes, ethnic Chinese Nung fighters, and a variety of Cambodian and Vietnamese tribal allies who fought alongside U.S. troops against the Viet Cong.Dates to choose from:Thursday -March 19, 2026 – 6 PM – 8 PMFriday - March 20, 2026 – 6 PM – 8 PMSaturday -March 21, 2026 – 6 PM – 8 PMCost: $12.00 per person for the one class*.*Price is for the class only.
