I grew up in a household that embraced the arts. My mother was a fine artist that worked in sculpture and painted in oils, acrylics and watercolors. I began to really paint seriously when my daughter became ill and I used art as a tool to deal with the stress. This led to art becoming a big part of my life. The real bridge I crossed into fine art was during a painting trip to Spain. Sitting in the middle of southern Spain, painting landscapes and castles, the Baroque got into my veins and became the inspiration for my artwork.

My main focus has been painting trees, I feel trees have a personality all of their own. Each individual tree has its own passion and life cycle as do animals. I began my dual passion for trees and wildlife after a friend asked me to do some artwork for the auctions at the Wild Sheep Foundation in Montana and the Mule Deer Foundation in Utah. My husband and I recently moved to Dubois, Wyoming to follow a dream of mine to live and paint in Wyoming. To be close to nature and my trees.
