In it's truest form Vinyasa yoga is a moving meditation on impermanence. The word Vinyasa means 'to place in a special way' and as a style it places less emphasis on the final shape of a pose, and brings more attention to how we move in and out of these poses. In this workshop, we will reconnect with the roots of the Vinyasa practice.
Through an in-depth, breath focused flow, we will work through a traditional Vinyasa sequence, combining common postures and an emphasis on breath, with some modern approaches to movement. We will take time to break down poses and transitions, learning how to engage with these movements in a way that is uniquely beneficial for you.
The result will be a mindful practice, focusing on sensations not shapes, and hopefully giving you a new outlook on your yoga practice.
